MUTATIO: LA LÓGICA DE FLEXIBILIDAD
PARA RECONFIGURAR LA RAZÓN
- HÉCTOR FALCÓN
STATEMENT
The ability to adapt and change is the foundation of a flexible logic that allows us to redefine and reinterpret the meaning of our existence and explore the notion of mutability and adaptability through a combination of paintings and sculptures that the viewer can move and rearrange. The pieces represent the interplay between the artist's allegory of the lived and the viewer's ability to reconfigure them, reflecting the mutable nature of life and shared personal experiences.
The pieces invite the viewer to look through internal spaces, revealing hidden layers and shifting perspectives, symbolizing the depth of our experiences and how they can be reinterpreted in the act of interaction with otherness.
Some pieces present images on both sides emphasizing the duality of the human experience and how our perspectives can change according to circumstances.
The Japanese influence present in the images and textiles connects to a significant stage in the artist's life and highlights the importance of adapting to different contexts. The images of geometric figures and masks-people reflect the search for patterns and meaning amidst chaos and change.
The title "Mutaio" refers to the idea of mutability and metamorphosis, while the idea of "Reconfiguring reason" underlines the ability to find new paths and redefine the meaning of existence through reasoning and adaptation.
