Multidisciplinary Mexican artist, lives and works between Milan and Mexico since 1980.
He has given artistic workshops, obtained both national and foreign scholarships, and carried out a hundred individual exhibitions.
Among his exhibitions are: Meditativo, 1989-2003, Museum of Modern Art, Mexico City, and Causa y Efecto, Galeria Nina Menocal, Mexico City, 2004; I invent a social architecture project, Museum of Decorative Arts, Prague, 2005; Red for a direct democracy IX, MyOwnGallery, Milan, 2006 and Expanded Field VII. Site specific intervention, Balelatina, Basel, Switzerland, 2007.
In 2008 he participated in the Third International Biennial of Artist’s Book, Alexandrina Library, Alexandria, Egypt; Expanded Field V and VI, Ollin Yoliztli Cultural Center, Mexico City, and Expanded Field XIX and XX, Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in the City of Puebla; in 2009, Expanded Field XXII, Nina Menocal Gallery, Mexico City, and in 2010 he exhibited Expanded Field XXVII at Détournement Venice 2010, 2nd. edition, Isole della Certosa, Venice, and Expanded Field XXIX, Bienale di architettura, Venice, Expanded Field XXXII in Puebla Mexico in 2011, 11th Biennial of Havana, Cuba, 2012 among others.
He was awarded the 2007 Honor Award by the American Institute of Architecture with his work Expanded Field VIII, carried out in the city of Albuquerque, N.M., E.U.A.
His works are in collections such as: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; The Victoria and Albert Museum, London; Musée d’Art Moderne, Paris; The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo; Museum of Modern Art, Mexico and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Lisbon, FEMSA Collection, Monterrey, Mexico, Pietro Rossini Collection, Italy. He has twice participated in the International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale in 1986 and 1993

Ha impartido talleres artÃsticos, obtenido becas tanto nacionales como extranjeras, y realizado un centenar de exposiciones individuales.
